By using titanwire.ca or the TitanWire apps for iOS and Android (together, "TitanWire"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use TitanWire.
What TitanWire is
TitanWire provides real-time weather, forecasts, radar, traffic, and severe weather alerts for any city in the US and Canada, plus dedicated local news, weather, and traffic for Edmonton, Alberta. No account is required to use TitanWire on the web or in the apps.
Weather and alerts are not a substitute for official warnings
TitanWire's weather data comes from GridCast, our own forecasting model, and is provided for general informational purposes. It is not an official government weather service, and severe weather alerts delivered through TitanWire should never be your only source of safety information. In an emergency, or when severe weather threatens life or property, always follow official guidance from Environment and Climate Change Canada, the National Weather Service, or your local emergency management authority.
We do our best to keep weather, traffic, and alert data accurate and timely, but we cannot guarantee it is complete, uninterrupted, or error-free, and we are not liable for decisions made based on it.
Location and notifications in the apps
The TitanWire apps may request access to your device's location (to show weather for where you are) and permission to send push notifications (to deliver severe weather alerts). Both are optional — you can decline either and still use the core features of the app. Your use of the apps is also subject to the terms of the App Store or Google Play, whichever you downloaded from.
Content you submit
If you submit a story tip or report a data issue, you're granting TitanWire the right to use that submission to produce or correct our coverage. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share, and don't use the tip line or issue-report form to submit spam, abuse, or anything unlawful.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: scrape or systematically extract data from TitanWire beyond normal personal use; interfere with or attempt to disrupt the site or apps; reverse engineer the apps; or use TitanWire for any unlawful purpose.
Third-party services
TitanWire relies on third-party services — including Mapbox, GridCast, and Apple/Google push notification delivery — to operate. Our Privacy Policy lists these in detail. We aren't responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services outside our control.
Intellectual property
The TitanWire name, logo, and original content (articles, design, and branding) belong to TitanReach Media. Weather and map data displayed through TitanWire belongs to its respective providers.
No warranty
TitanWire is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the site or apps will be available at all times or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TitanReach Media is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of TitanWire, including damages resulting from reliance on weather, traffic, or alert data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use as TitanWire changes. We'll update the date above when we do. Continuing to use TitanWire after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
